Sizing

  • You can watch a video on how to put on your shirt here.

    1.  Shoulder opening shirts – If your shirt opens at the shoulder with hook and loop fastener (Velcro like), most people step into the shirt, pull it up and then fastened it at the shoulder. (It should fit under any sling/immobilizer you may have.) Many people find it is easier to get dressed in front of a mirror, at least when you first start so you get use to the placement of the fastener and fastening style of your Shoulder Shirt™. Also enclosed is a ribbon: this attaches to the back shoulder and aids in fastening on the shoulder opening shirts. If you are looking for a more fitted look after you are no longer wearing your sling/immobilizer, we do offer easy to fasten belts.

    2.  Side opening shirts – Side opening shirts should be opened on the side that you have surgery. The shirts can be put on over your head and then pulled either under or over your sling/immobilizer. You can then fasten the snaps on the side after you have your shirt on.

  • Most people can wear their normal size. We don't recommend going up a size without checking our sizing chart. Our shirts tend to run big and are made to fit loosely like a pajama top so that you have plenty of room to move after your surgery. Your shirt will not fit snug like your normal clothing.

Click on the light blue button marked "Size chart" which is located by the SKU towards at the top of the listing.

The last couple of measurements on the sizing chart are the approximate actual circumferences and length. You need to be sure that the chest circumference measurement allows you to pull up your shirt comfortably over your hips since they are made to be able to step into and pull up to fasten. Most of the shirts' chest measurements will be 3-9" larger than your actual chest circumference, depending on the style (the sleeveless shirts are on the lower end of that scale).

Also, please note that the knit fabrics are going to wear larger than the woven fabrics due to their stretchiness.
